Who we are...

St. Peter’s is a primary school in the heart of Hinckley, Leicestershire. We have a single class in each year group, welcoming children into a nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage and delivering a balanced education until the children leave us aged 11 at the end of Year Six.

We maintain strong links with St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, situated just yards from the school, and are very fortunate to benefit from an active parish community who are highly engaged with our school. We are similarly fortunate to benefit from an incredibly dedicated Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) who, through the nationally recognised quality of their fundraising, support a wide variety of initiatives in school.

We work in partnership with the Nottingham Diocesan Education Service and Leicestershire County Council to ensure our curriculum exceeds the requirements of the National Curriculum and is underpinned by our strong Catholic values. We also work in partnership with the Affinity Teaching School Alliance and our secondary school colleagues at St. Martin’s Catholic Academy in Stoke Golding to continually refine and improve the quality of education we provide.

In April 2016 we converted to an academy with our feeder high school, St. Martin’s, to form St. Dominic’s Academy Trust.

As all of these things combine with a wonderfully enthusiastic and supportive group of staff and children, we believe that St. Peter’s offers a unique environment for our children to develop, create, aspire, progress and succeed.
